Job Overview
Applications are invited for the Consultant in Respiratory Medicine posts at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. You will be joining a team of 6 Consultants, 1 Respiratory Nurse Consultant, and 7 Nurse specialists (sleep, lung cancer, NIV) in a dynamic, rapidly evolving department. Main Duties of the Job
Applicants will have extensive General Respiratory experience with expertise in Pleural, ILD, Allergy, or Lung cancer. Applicants with any sub-specialty interests are welcome and will be accommodated. The role will include covering the acute ward as well as the in-reach service. Working for Our Organisation

Possesses a range of clinical knowledge, skills & IT expertise Concerned to maintain & develop this knowledge In-depth expertise in at least one specialist field Displays sound professional judgment Exercises sound clinical risk management Sees patients within a holistic context Skills and Experience
Full GMC Registration CCST Specialist Registration or will obtain within 6 months of interview date The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential Higher Degree (MD/PhD or equivalent) Clinical Governance
Demonstration of knowledge around clinical and financial governance Personal/Professional Attributes
Consistently safe Reassuringly professional Clearly communicate Respect people and their dignity Work as a team Take responsibility Be a leader Other Requirements
