EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW We have an opportunity for you to join our Finance team, acting as a true Finance Business Partner to our Technology Business, which will enable improved programme performance. Initially this will be a 12 month fixed term contract with the potential of going permanent. You will be charged with providing a robust, insightful, and balanced view across the area’s regulatory, performance and financial objectives. We’ll be looking for you to be a motivated and engaging individual, ensuring a high-quality monthly reporting rhythm, with the ability to challenge existing practices and identify improvements in both the short and longer term. In this business-critical role, you will be partnering our technology, where their mission is simple – to deliver and maintain secure and stable IT services, which maximises value to all our business. Key responsibilities will include: You will work with Technology’s business leaders to ensure the delivery of capital programmes through your insightful analysis and challenge. Ensuring there is firm governance around the capital portfolio and ensuring adequate controls are in place. Supporting the Technology Business by leading on projects to drive improvements in the reporting that is provided. Leading on month-end reporting and providing monthly forecasts/budgets. Ensuring that the appropriate levels of controls exist to prevent control weakness in transaction recording and inaccurate reporting of results. Providing analysis and insight on monthly and annual performance against budgets to aid decision making. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE To be considered for this role, you will: Be an ACCA, ACA or CIMA Qualified Accountant with proven experience in a similar role. Have substantial experience within Finance, including exposure to business operation. Have a demonstrable track record of taking the lead in diagnosing business issues and delivering performance improvements. Be able to develop a performance framework to ensure that the right measures are being focussed on to deliver the required level of business performance. In addition, you should have the ability to articulate a position and make recommendations which will enable leadership teams to make strategic and operational decisions based on reliable and accurate information.
