The post holder will support in the financial management and reporting of ICB budgets. The post holder plays an important role within the finance directorate and in the interface between the finance directorate and the rest of the organisation. They will assist on the operational work across the directorate and ensure plans are in place and delivered to achieve the strategy, underpinned by the delivery of short to medium-term objectives. Main duties of the job
• The post holder will support the Heads of the Directorate to deliver effective financial management within the designated areas within the ICB. • Work with other teams across the Directorate to assist in the consistency of planning, ledger input, and reporting to ensure information is properly managed. • Support and inform the targeting of resources, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of the tasks/projects by providing high-quality support including complex information and analysis, communications, and stakeholder management. • Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally. The post holder will deputise for the Senior Finance Officer and Finance Manager. The post holder may need to deputise for other members of the finance team as required. Working for our organisation

Education / Qualifications
Part qualified (CCAB/CIMA) and actively studying towards a professional Accountancy Qualification or equivalent level of experience. Educated to Degree Level or equivalent level of experience working in NHS Finance. Experience
Knowledge and experience of financial operations and best practice including controls, budget setting, and management accounts. Analytical skills and the ability to draw qualitative and quantitative data from a wide range of sources and present clearly. Good problem-solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands. Capable of working on own initiative and managing own workload, working to tight and often changing timescales. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing complex and sensitive information. Knowledge
Knowledge of statutory accounts procedures and guidelines. Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
