Are you an experienced Criminal Justice drug and alcohol practitioner, to join Via Merton? The Role

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced criminal justice drug and alcohol recovery practitioner. You will work closely with partners from probation and prisons as well as the courts and the police to support and engage those who use our services into recovery-orientated drug and alcohol treatment. The key objective of the role is to assist people to address their offending behaviour and become free from dependency. You will provide outreach satellites in the local Probation office as well as one or more prisons and lead on the service’s links with these agencies. This exciting role will offer you the chance to make a lasting difference to people’s lives. You will be responsible for managing a small caseload of clients, to include prescribing, providing a good quality of interventions at varying stages of their recovery. This exciting and rewarding role will provide you with significant scope for growth and innovation within a supportive and friendly multidisciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical professionals. Launched in 2018, Via Merton is a fully integrated substance misuse service, providing clinical and psychosocial interventions, operating from a main treatment hub, with additional satellites within the community. The team actively promotes recovery and works with individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance misuse, working with the local community to improve the health, wellbeing and functioning of Merton residents, irrespective of circumstance.
