We are seeking a Project Specification Manager to join our commercial team in the UK. This position is field-based and will be covering the North of the UK (NE, CA, DL, DH, SR, TS, YO, HG, BD, LA, FY, PR, BB, HX, LS, HU, DN, WF, HD, OL, BL, WN, L, WA, M, S, SK, ST, CW, CH, SY, LL). Your Future Team: Reporting into the National Specification Manager, you will be part of a team that is responsible for ensuring that ROCKWOOL products and systems are products of choice within the UK construction market. What you will be doing: Building and maintaining sustainable working relationships with clients in keeping with ROCKWOOL’s core values. Planning and prioritising personal technical sales activities and customer contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs, sales and profitability via the CRM database RockConnect. Planning and managing personal business portfolio. Working collaboratively with Area Sales Managers and Technical teams. Providing information, literature and samples of ROCKWOOL products. Presenting to both internal and external stakeholders. Delivering CPD’s to customers as required to gain understanding and support for ROCKWOOL products. Sharing knowledge and information of newly identified opportunities within the commercial team to develop profitable business. Responding to and following up sales and technical enquiries. Monitoring and reporting on market and competitor activities. Maintaining a pipeline of ongoing projects via the CRM system RockConnect. What you bring: Proven track record providing support to commercial activity within the building/construction industry. Previous experience in Specification selling. Good working knowledge of current building regulations. IT literate with experience of Microsoft packages and CRM Systems. Capable of understanding Technical Drawings. Ability to provide technical solutions to meet customer requirements. Independently takes action to realise opportunities for selling products/services. Effective and persuasive communicator.
