Your new role Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated accountancy technician to join their team. The successful candidate will support accountants by performing a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. What you'll need to succeed Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Process invoices, payments, and receipts. Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable. Prepare VAT returns and assist with tax filings. Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior accountants. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Liaise with clients to gather necessary financial information. Assist with audits and other financial reviews. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Accountancy Technician or in a similar role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant certification (e.g., AAT) is preferred.
