NXTGEN are delighted to be partnering exclusively with an exciting scale up business based in Norwich in their search for a Finance Manager, as they go through a very exciting phase of growth. This brand-new role will be the first Finance role within the business, reporting directly into the Managing Director, with responsibility for providing detailed insights on financial performance. This organisation is likely to scale at pace so you will need to be someone who's happy working in an ever changing and agile environment, delivering ad hoc reports as and when required. As Finance Manager, you will initially work in a stand-alone capacity in a broad and all-encompassing role with the potential to build a team around you as the company scales. Due to the complex nature of this business, you will need to identify revenue to provide the wider business with a greater understanding for income generation. As Finance Manager, you will need to be commercially minded and be confident developing MI reports and processes. Key responsibilities of the role will include: Delivery of month end board packs with accompanying MI and commercial commentary Production of the company budgets, forecasts and maintenance of the company cashflow Ownership for all technical submissions including year end close, Tax and VAT returns Revenue recognition to provide greater understanding of income performance Management of company Payroll Ad hoc financial reports as requested by the MD The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). As the first member of the finance team, you will need to be comfortable working in a "top to bottom" role initially and will be required to design and build accounting processes. Candidates will need to be confident users of Excel, with cloud accounting experience beneficial but not essential. You will be a self starter and someone who is committed to going on a journey with this organisation. Good communication will be key to succeeding in this role.
