Site Manager Construction Basildon
Freelance 10 months work minimum

This main contractor is looking for a Site Manager to work on a very interesting construction project on a high-profile site in Essex.
The works comprise heavy demolition and refurbishment works, removal of an existing roof and raise by 5m, internal builder's work packages, drainage, some re-build works and further refurbishment. All this takes place in a space that is half the size of a football pitch.
You will be reporting to a Project Manager, and you will be responsible for the day-to-day site activities, sub-contractors, and H&S etc., whilst the Project Manager will be managing the client, client's project management representatives, programme, and flow of information to site.
This is a high-profile project within an occupied facility, so needs a Site Manager who is able to diligently plan works, be an excellent communicator, and maintain a safe and tidy site at all times.
The Site Manager must come from a construction background (rather than fit-out), so must have good knowledge of demolition, heavy refurbishment, steel, concrete, foundations, and structures etc.
