We are looking for talented Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineers who want to lead project teams and deliver innovative solutions that benefit the communities in which we work and support.

Across the entire business, we’re building on top of what’s already been a highly successful period of growth. Our strategy within the Water Sector for 2024 and beyond is creating a number of new exciting opportunities in the business. We partner with the top water clients across the UK&I, work on some of the largest, most iconic water projects in the industry, and we promise to design with community in mind by reducing environmental impacts and improving social value.

Currently, we are looking for Design Managers with a background in one or more of the following disciplines: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering, to join our team in the southeast. As Design Manager, you will play a fundamental role within the delivery of our projects, identifying innovative and sustainable solutions, planning technical delivery, and leading the multidisciplinary team from concept stage through to delivery. You will work alongside the Project Manager, ensuring best value and client service excellence is at the core of everything we do. You will have access to Stantec’s world-class expertise to help you deliver leading-edge designs that support the industry's challenges and drive to achieve NetZero by 2050.

With our diversified business lines and continued growth, Stantec offers a huge array of opportunities from challenging regional projects benefiting local communities to global mega-projects where you can learn from others and gain new experiences along the way.

About You We are looking for someone who has a passion for solving engineering problems, the ability to lead and inspire, and the confidence to drive through challenging solutions.

To be considered for this role, you will be a degree-qualified (or equivalent) engineer, and you will ideally be chartered or a member of a relevant engineering institution e.g., ICE. Support can be given to achieve this if required.

We have opportunities for differing levels of seniority and experience, so if you are looking to kick start your leadership career or take it to the next level, we'll support you on your journey.

About Stantec

The Stantec community unites more than 31,000 employees working in over 450 locations across 6 continents. We have been working with our clients and communities in the UK for over 150 years. We plan, design, deliver, and manage the development and infrastructure needed to support the creation of sustainable, healthy, and prosperous communities.

Our teams provide effective and relevant solutions, translating our clients’ vision into valued consents, deliverable plans for projects and programmes, and efficient designs for delivery, based on technical excellence and deep market insights. We deal with today’s challenges, but also keep a fairer, better tomorrow in sight, looking at how we deliver clean growth, support radical changes in our economy, and meet the needs of future communities.
