As a Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in the Product Supply team at Brakes. Based at our Ashford office, this position reports to the Category Demand Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting, creating, and managing demand forecasts for depot forecasting, incorporating statistics, business intelligence, and other demand signals to enhance customer service. To effectively manage stakeholder relationships and provide an optimum customer experience. This full-time role is Monday – Friday, 39 hours per week, 8am – 5pm with hybrid working arrangements, requiring 2 days a week at the Ashford office. Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain system-generated forecasts for defined material groups to drive continuous improvement towards company targets. Analyze sales history, seasonal events, and forthcoming activities to generate optimal demand signals. Interpret corporate and independent customer data/insight into robust forecasts. Manage forecasting processes at both detail and aggregated levels, utilizing best-fit statistical models. Collaborate with other teams or external customers to understand, recommend, and deliver forecast improvements. Communicate forecast changes to supply chain colleagues. Apply root cause analysis techniques to establish underlying causes of KPI shortfalls and implement improvement plans. Support the governance of customer insights/business intelligence. Contribute to projects in Demand Planning and around the business as required. Foster a culture of continuous improvement. Implement new and lost business forecast requirements into the Demand planning system. About You: We seek a confident individual with excellent problem-solving skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in FMCG/Supply Chain is highly desirable. You will have great analytical skills, competence in MS Excel, and SAP. This role requires concentration and prioritization to ensure timely completion of tasks and processes. This position suits someone who enjoys working with numerical data and liaising with stakeholders to draw conclusions from data and report findings. Benefits:
