Due to our phenomenal growth at B&M retail, we are now recruiting for a Transport Network Planner based in our Distribution Headquarters Speke, Liverpool.
Shift Pattern:
Evening / Night shift but with flexibility to work days as cover if required
You will be working a 12 hours 4 on 4 off rota with normal start time of 3-4pm
Key Responsibilities:
Transport planning for full B&M network UK & Ireland (5 distribution centres and 3 Out-bases)
Data collection, preparation and analysis
Load building and route planning using Paragon Routing Software
Accountable for the maximising planned trailer fill, minimising route mileage and cost control
Accurate and timely creation and distribution of departmental reports and KPI’s
Upkeep of all Master delivery schedules
Backhaul planning
Carry out project work as required
Key Skills Required:
Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, in particular Excel and Outlook
Excellent UK geographical knowledge
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Understanding of importance of cost control within the planning function
Lateral thinker, who’s not afraid to challenge and question current processes
Comfortable & confident in communicating with all levels of Management up to Director level
Paragon experience preferable
