Description BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Health, Safety and Quality Manager to work for an expanding North East based manufacturing business on a permanent basis located in North Shields. This is a key role within the business, and will be dealing with all aspects of the site HSQ regulations, with particular focus towards review of overall process with a view to continue to drive improvements to achieve the groups vision of increasing their carbon footprint. Salary range dependent on experience £40,000 to £45,000 Full-time permanent position Working Hours - Mon to Thurs 8:00am - 5:00pm and Fri 8:00am – 4:00pm (30mins Lunch) Office Based Free on-site parking 25 days annual leave Closed from 23rd December to 2nd January every year Healthcare scheme Company/team events throughout the year Key responsibilities

Ensure the fulfilment of company Environmental (ISO 14001), Health and Safety (ISO 45001), and Quality (ISO 9001) policies. Act as an advisor with Group Environment and Quality/Health and Safety management, implementing Group Guidelines and procedures. Arrange and conduct Internal Audits Arrange and manage External and Supplier Audits Ensure ongoing competence from site Act as the primary contact with regulators and stakeholders, such as company insurers and HSE. Perform other duties as reasonably required from time to time. Skills, Knowledge And Experience Required

Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental, ISO 45001 Health and Safety and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Experience within the Manufacturing or Engineering Sector Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail. Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks. Excellent organisational and time management skills. A positive attitude to dealing with people. Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual. Capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
