Your Mission:

As Warehouse Manager, you'll be the driving force behind a safe, efficient, and innovative 2200 cubic meter warehouse operation. Your leadership will create a dynamic work environment that not only meets but exceeds operational standards. You'll shape and implement cutting-edge practices, keep our quality systems sharp, and lead a talented team to deliver excellence at every step of the process.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

Operational Excellence:

Champion safety by enforcing rigorous standards, conducting regular risk assessments, and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. Establish and implement best practices for warehouse operations, ensuring seamless alignment with company policies and quality accreditations. Take the lead in internal and external audits, maintaining compliance across all touch-points. Drive warehouse efficiency by maintaining an exceptional 5S standard across all areas.

Leadership & Team Development: Manage and inspire your team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and flexibility. Develop your team's skills and competencies, ensuring they're equipped to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Inventory & Logistics Management: Monitor and flag any component shortages or surpluses to keep operations smooth and cost-effective. Oversee the packaging and dispatch of finished goods to meet customer-specific requirements. Ensure all materials are efficiently transferred and transported to their designated locations within and between departments. Achieve precision in stock management through perpetual inventory checks and quarterly stocktakes.

Sustainability & Reporting: Manage recyclable waste collections and submit accurate packaging data biannually. Approve transport invoices and deliver comprehensive monthly reports. Monitor and optimise KPIs, including external warehouse stock, transport costs, and racking inspections. Handle off-site storage and pallet transfers to address capacity needs seamlessly.

Strategic Contributions: Prepare, manage, and track the department's annual budget. Attend key meetings (e.g., change management, project updates, stock builds) and contribute innovative solutions. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and elevate operational efficiency.

What You Bring to the Role:

Core Skills & Expertise: Proven warehouse management experience, ideally in an automotive environment or associated 3pl or 4pl. Expertise in creating and maintaining a safe working environment under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974. Strong knowledge of ISO45001 compliance, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Familiarity with quality systems like IATF and inventory systems for precise stock management. Confidence in working with suppliers, transport providers, and customers. Experience managing budgets and financial spend effectively. A deep understanding of 5S principles and their practical application.

Role-Specific Strengths: A methodical problem solver who thrives under pressure. Exceptional written and verbal communicator, adept at collaborating across all levels. Organised, detail-oriented, and highly efficient. General management skills are essential; project experience is a plus.

Qualifications: A valid driving licence is required. Vocational qualifications in Logistics/Warehouse Management are advantageous. An FLT Licence would be a bonus but not essential. Understanding of SEMA racking inspections. RTITB Compliance.

Ready to lead, inspire, and make an impact?

Step into this role and drive our warehouse operations to new heights!
