Senior Project Manager (Water Sector) Company Overview:

As a Senior Project Manager based in Inverness, you'll be instrumental in delivering a large, long-term framework. The ideal candidate must have proven experience managing various civil engineering projects within the water sector. Responsibilities: Overseeing Project Delivery : Manage project outcomes including staff, budgets, safety, and progress for assigned projects. Staff Management:

Lead and develop staff, handle recruitment, and mentor junior team members. Client Interaction : Professionally engage with client representatives. Contract and Commercial Understanding:

Understand contract conditions and maintain commercial awareness. Project Management:

Manage multiple projects, ensuring you meet targets and comply with regulations. Safety and Compliance:

Ensure projects adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Team Management:

Direct project teams, clarify objectives, and manage roles. Financial Management:

Oversee project finances, including profit and loss. Reporting and Reviews:

Produce project reports and participate in financial and program reviews. Commercial Procedures:

Ensure compliance with company commercial and financial procedures. Documentation and Procurement : Handle contract documentation, pricing, estimates, and procurement. Planning and Coordination:

Develop project programs, coordinate resources, and liaise with other departments. Opportunity Development:

Identify new opportunities, lead pre-construction tenders, and contribute to tender processes. Supplier and Team Coordination:

Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and construction teams. Resource Management:

Procure project resources, oversee testing, commissioning, and training. Meetings and Site Visits:

Attend internal and external meetings, site visits, and progress meetings. Contract Closeout:

Ensure all contract documentation is prepared according to specifications and timelines. Essential Requirements: Degree or HNC in relevant civil engineering discipline. Proven experience managing civil engineering projects, especially in water sector is essential. Experience in water and/or sewage industries. Extensive technical knowledge and communication skills. IOSH or SMSTS qualification, CSCS card essential. Experience with NEC suite of contracts. Proactive communicator with a full UK driver's license.
