Currie & Brown is looking for a NEC supervisor to join our Manchester team. The initial project placement will be acting as NEC supervisor on a number of projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in generating a high standard of service delivery throughout the lifecycle of a project and achieving successful outcomes for our client, as well as enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider. The successful candidate would join a growing but accomplished team serving our global, national, and regional private and public sector clients. Responsibilities will include (according to position): Undertaking site supervision of construction projects, ensuring application of current legislation, CDM Regulations, codes of practice, and industry-standard engineering design principles Attending and contributing to risk and value engineering and HAZOPS workshops Reviewing contractor method statements and safe systems of work Witnessing project commissioning and testing and accepting same on satisfactory completion Compiling and maintaining the project snag list and ensuring satisfactory resolution within agreed time scales Providing a support and advisory role to the project manager Providing progress reporting to the client leadership team Chairing meetings with contractor teams Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for successful project completion; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control Undertaking NEC supervisor services with limited supervision Delivering all work output in an accurate and timely manner Providing support to the team leader/service leaders in cost management of projects Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships Requirements: Professional membership desirable, eg MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM A minimum of five years' technical delivery experience gained with a construction consultancy Experience in reporting to external clients NEC3 or 4 experience - NEC3 or accreditation preferred Good technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible About Us Why choose Currie & Brown?
