This is an exciting opportunity for an appropriately qualified and experienced practitioner to develop leadership skills as a Deputy Team Lead within the Greater Preston Talking Therapies Leadership Team. The role, which is a 1.0 WTE job, offers the opportunity to gain considerable experience in service development, managerial, and additional supervisory skills. You will join a friendly and supportive clinical and managerial leadership team that also includes a CBT lead, Counselling lead, PWP lead, consultant clinical lead, and Team Leads. We are looking for applicants with substantial experience of working within the field of mental health and ideally some knowledge and experience of working within an IAPT service, working with complex client presentations, and providing formal clinical supervision/mentorship to qualified clinical staff. You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality therapy and have excellent interpersonal qualities, time management skills, an ability to work autonomously and in a team, and an enthusiasm for working in an ever-developing IAPT environment.

Main duties of the job The post-holder will work alongside the clinical and managerial leadership team, providing additional support to Team Leads and Clinicians alike within the respective teams. The post-holder will need to be available to work full-time Monday-Friday. There will be an expectation to work from base when needed. The post holder will receive regular managerial supervision and support and join other senior clinicians within the service. Talking Therapies is an innovative and forward-thinking service. We provide rapid, accessible mental health screening, assessment, and treatment to people presenting with common mental health disorders, whilst enabling people accessing the service to have a collaborative role in the choice of intervention they receive. Our services are underpinned by a philosophy of mental health promotion, health recovery, choice, empowerment, and personal responsibility. The post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.

Person Specification Education/Qualifications Essential Must hold relevant professional qualification Documented evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)

Knowledge Essential Expert knowledge on mental health issues and how these impact on the individual, carer's, and the wider community Expertise in current best practice in Adult Mental Health, and awareness of relevant government directives and legislation Knowledge and application of mental health assessments and interventions using clinical reasoning

Experience Essential 2 years post qualification experience in mental health setting Extensive clinical experiences including individual and group Demonstrate planning skills, e.g., in terms of resource allocation and funding

Skills Essential Excellent presentation and training skills Ability to work autonomously and set own and others' priorities Ability to influence and inspire innovative and effective practice in others
