Provides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises. Responsibilities
Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure Draw blood and preparation labs for processing and/or in-house processing Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions Respond to all lab messages and call back requests Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations Ensure patient immunizations/injections are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure and/or provider orders Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies as protocols indicate Maintain complete and accurate documentation Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications
AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred. Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Company Overview
