My client is looking for an experienced Qualified Dispensing Optician/ Practice Manager with experience of working in a busy environment and a large team who can make a difference with their dispensing abilities and mentoring skills.
Qualified Dispensing Position This is a permanent full-time position working within one of the most trusted optical brands in the UK. This practice is well established with a long-standing and loyal customer base which has shown strong growth over the last few years. The store is modern and well equipped and is located in a quiet centre. They offer all services including MECS and are the optician of choice in the local community.
The practice has several test rooms and a large team of 30+ staff, all of which are supportive and work closely together to create a positive working environment. Practice hours are 8:30 to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 4pm on Sundays.
Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician Your role will be to work as one of the lead dispensers within the practice. You will handle the majority of children’s and complex dispensing and you will use your expertise and clinical experience to troubleshoot and deal with any issues as they arise. As a senior member of the team, you will help junior members of the team and help them to stay up to date with the latest optical developments.
Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician To apply for this position you need to be a fully qualified Dispensing Optician who is registered with the GOC. You will be an outgoing and approachable person with excellent communication skills and the ability to think on your feet and solve problems and offer solutions for your customers. There is responsibility that comes with this role and a requirement is for any applicants to have experience of working in a busy, high volume medium to large practice.
Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician On offer for your experience is a salary of up to £28,000. Fees included. Bonus scheme – team based dispensing bonus. Company sick leave. Extra day off for birthday.
