Lister House Surgery is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our team and be one of our valued and trusted members of staff. The HCA will play a vital role in providing essential support to patients and assisting the healthcare team in delivering high-quality care. We have up to full time hours available. Interviews will commence 27th January 2025, and in post by 1st March. Please note - Standards of written English will be assessed as part of the application form and previous candidates need not apply. Main duties of the job

Long term health condition health checks / Diabetes health check ECG Recording Venepuncture Undertake wound care / dressings according to level trained Removal of sutures / clips Chaperoning GP's as required Setting up and assisting GP's with minor operations and cleaning equipment. Setting up and assisting GP's with IUCD insertions and removals and adding appropriate recalls Testing urine samples. Processing and management of specimens. Vaccine/cold chain storage monitoring and recording in clinic rooms at both sites. Clearing and restocking all consulting rooms, re-ordering supplies for stock levels from Pathology department at the hospital. About us

Qualifications

Care certificate NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care Qualified to NVQ level 3 Qualified in Phlebotomy Experience

Experience working within Primary Care Experience of SystmOne Disclosure and Barring Service Check
