A new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated receptionist/clinic coordinator to join our small friendly Pre-operative assessment team at Maidstone Hospital. We are looking for someone who can provide efficient and effective administration to the Pre-operative assessment clinic. You will be conscientious, have good communication skills (oral and written) and have the ability to prioritise your own workload due to changing demands of the service. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Main duties of the job

Responsibilities will include: Answering phone calls and emails. Greeting patients and visitors on arrival to the clinic. Contacting patients and liaising with staff, other departments, GP practices, and other hospitals. Tracking notes in and out of the clinic, preparing the notes for clinic, and managing the booking of appointments using the clinical database. Being IT confident and familiar with Allscripts, Word, and Excel. You may be required to travel between sites. Qualifications

Essential

Educated to GCSE/GCE level (or equivalent). Basic IT qualification or ability to demonstrate knowledge. Desirable

A levels. NVQ 3. Able to use Excel. Experience

Essential

Experienced in using Allscripts. Desirable

Experience of working within a hospital, public sector setting or similar. Knowledge/Skills

Essential

IT literate. Good communication skills (verbal and written). Desirable

Minute taking. Ability to liaise effectively. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
