The PMO Specialist will be aligned to a large complex customer-facing project or programme. This role will be operating across an entire portfolio or business/function area where multiple programmes and projects are being delivered. The PMO Specialist role is to enhance project & programme deliveries within VBSE through the application of the delivery process, project/programme controls and governance, automation and the monitoring of Central PMO established KPIs. The role supports a high performing delivery team to enable successful delivery of projects and programmes (and their associated benefits) to time, cost and quality, within risk profile. This is a predominantly on-site role, however there is some flexibility to work from home, at a minimum once a week. What You'll Do: Ensure the effective running of the Delivery Methodology and Governance regime Facilitates the development and maintenance of the programme and project plans and dependency logs. Identify planning issues and trends and recommend and implement solutions. Manage and improve the communication plan for the programme ensure that key information is provided to the required stakeholders by the team on time and to the required quality. Ensure the effective running of the Risk Management process Ensure the effective running of the Change Management process Some travel may be required to customer site, so flexibility to travel would be required Who you are Experience working in a PMO capacity is required Extensive experience in management reporting techniques and processes, and performance metrics Broad understanding of financial controls, project accounting and benefits realisation process Excellent planning & organisational skills P3O qualification is desirable Prior Waterfall delivery experience is desirable Security Clearance: This position requires the person to hold or to be eligible to undergo UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
