The BHFT CYPIT service is an integrated Children's Therapy service, shaped around the needs of the child and family. We are structured within integrated teams, based around a locality area of Berkshire, and work closely together where appropriate, to ensure we have the greatest therapeutic impact, working either directly or through other people. Main duties of the job

In this role you will be required to: Visit schools and assess CYPs needs Provide high quality reports and therapy plans as well as advice and strategies to school staff Plan and manage your own caseload and interventions, and support/supervise the planning of caseload management of Band 5 and other junior staff members within the designated locality area About us

Working in our mainstream school team you will be responsible for the planning and management of your own caseload and interventions working within our impact-based model of support. As part of this, you will be supported to develop and enhance your specialist skills working with children and young people (CYP) with speech, language and communication needs. Person Specification

Qualifications

Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent Registered with HCPC Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience An understanding of the diverse needs of children and young people Car for community work Ability to demonstrate required clinical knowledge of up-to-date speech and language interventions and service issues Disclosure and Barring Service Check
