We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated speech and language therapist to help us support children and young people in a range of settings across Essex. This Band 7 role involves co-ordinating, supporting and delivering a high quality, evidence-based service in a range of settings, predominantly within the clinical fields of complex needs and AAC. There are also opportunities to supervise and manage therapists, developing their skills, as well as therapy assistants. Main duties of the job
To lead on service delivery in designated settings. To hold a highly specialist clinical caseload within these schools. To supervise and line manage therapists and assistants. To contribute to the planning and service delivery of the Therapies service. To work as part of the Speech and Language Therapy team, as well as the wider multi-disciplinary SEND Therapies team. Speech and Language degree. Registered member of Health Professions Council. Knowledge
Relevant in-depth clinical knowledge in the area of people with complex speech, language and health needs. Well-established knowledge of a wide range of conditions and treatments for children with complex speech, language and communication difficulties. Knowledge of low and high-tech AAC methods.
