We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Pharmacy Support Worker to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Askham Grange, a female open prison near York.
This is a fantastic opportunity to start or continue your career in Pharmacy and Healthcare - no previous experience is necessary, and we will support you with lots of training and development opportunities.

This is a bank role, however, you will need to be happy to work 08:30 - 10:30am on a weekend. We can offer flexible shifts on a weekday between 7am - 1pm. Salary
This is a bank role, and the hourly rate is £14.28 per hour. How will we support you?
Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Competency framework Regional and national career development opportunities Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs Support from the wider team Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks. What you'll be doing
As our new Pharmacy Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include: Support the onsite Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Manager, as well as the wider healthcare team Second check medication before dispensing to patients on medication rounds Contribute to services such as medicine reconciliation, managing stock medicines and transportation of medicines Provide support to ensure a safe and secure medicines management service, following policies, procedures and standard operating procedures Work in the medication hatches on the wings Assist with reception duties and admin work as necessary Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals What we’ll look for in you
