challenging behaviour . A minimum of 6 months experience in this area is desirable. Your role will be supporting a young gentleman in the Whitehaven area within his own home, working on a 2-1 basis with another member of staff. Support will be given both out in the community and in his home environment, carrying out various tasks including; Going for walks and days out Meals preparation Social enrichment Supporting with development of life skills Managing behaviours and emotions Promoting independence Managing sensory needs Why Alcedo Care? Nurse led training and ongoing support NVQ career progression opportunities Requirements of the role Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle Previous experience within a professional care setting, preferably community based. Previous work experience and knowledge of autism, sensory impairments, challenging behaviour and mental health. Be strong willed and resilient Strong knowledge and experience in using alternative methods of communication Able to use own judgement and make informed decisions in emergency situations Able to work as part of team Knowledge of professional boundaries and safeguarding policies Shift Pattern This is a full-time role working on a zero hour contract, all staff will be required to work on a weekend on weekend off basis on a rolling rota.
