Your role will be supporting a young gentleman in the Whitehaven area within his own home, working on a 2-1 basis with another member of staff. Support will be given both out in the community and in his home environment, carrying out various tasks including; Going for walks and days out Meals preparation Social enrichment Supporting with development of life skills Managing behaviours and emotions Promoting independence Managing sensory needs Why Alcedo Care? Previous work experience and knowledge of autism, sensory impairments, challenging behaviour and mental health. Be strong willed and resilient Strong knowledge and experience in using alternative methods of communication Able to use own judgement and make informed decisions in emergency situations Able to work as part of team Knowledge of professional boundaries and safeguarding policies Shift Pattern This is a full-time role working on a zero hour contract, all staff will be required to work on a weekend on weekend off basis on a rolling rota.
