Job Description

Mentus Recruitment are seeking a newly qualified Occupational Therapist or a Graduate Occupational Therapist to work in a beautiful, private healthcare facility in Hertfordshire. We are working on behalf of our esteemed client whose private healthcare facility provides inpatient psychiatric services in acute, PICU, and secure settings. The Occupational Therapy service implements Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment interventions and meaningful activity programmes across the site: on ward, off ward in designated therapy activity rooms, across site facilities, within the spacious hospital grounds, and in the community. Across site facilities include: Fitness centre, Sports Hall, Foot Golf course, Animal care, and Horticulture. The Occupational Therapy service also provides service users involvement in opportunities such as: the Hospital shop, Library, Café, Service Users magazine, and Vocational & Work Opportunity Roles. The hospital offers a 12-week individual timetable which includes multidisciplinary team input. The Occupational Therapy service provides person-centred and evidence-based Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions to support service users with complex mental health treatment needs to engage in their recovery journey and to promote skills, confidence, and independence, supporting service users to live their life. You will have the opportunity to engage in CPD activities, networking with the wider Occupational Therapy service lines, and training opportunities to support your career development. A competency framework and salary banding is in place to support your career development: Occupational Therapist:

£28,000 - £34,500 Senior Occupational Therapist:

£35,000 - £42,500 The OT role will involve: Providing an Occupational Therapy led service, utilising Occupational Therapy assessment & treatment model to designated unit(s) / specified service user group. Assessment, planning, implementation & evaluation of Occupational Therapy interventions using evidence-based practice & recovery principles based on clinical treatment need. Working collaboratively with MDT & Occupational Therapy team. Engaging in supervision, CPD & training. Offering support & supervision to Occupational Therapy staff within allocated designated unit(s) & opportunity for Occupational Therapy Students on practice placements. To be successful you'll need: Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy. Registration with HCPC. Experience of working in a healthcare setting and/or working with service users with mental health diagnosis would be desirable.
