We are looking for a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Assistant to join us in Children's Outpatients. You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and a team player. The Children's outpatient department provides regional and local specialist tertiary clinics for children and young people up to the age of 18. As one of the largest acute teaching Trusts in England, we offer learning and development opportunities to help you achieve the career you aspire to. All non-clinical roles may involve a mixture of on-site and remote working. Specific details and flexible working options can be discussed as part of the interview process. Establish and maintain communication with a range of people on a range of matters in a form that is appropriate to them and the situation. Develop own knowledge and skills and provide information to others to help their development. Monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self and others. Maintain quality in own work and encourage others to do the same. Support equality and value diversity, identifying when own or others behavior undermines equality and diversity. Qualifications / training required
NVQ 3 in Health or Childcare or equivalent. Numeracy skills and Literacy skills at level 1 or 2 (or equivalent). Experienced and competent in additional clinical skills, as per job description. Previous or relevant experience necessary
Proven experience in a caring role. Understanding of acute hospital environment and the role of SHCA. Previous HCA experience. Previous experience of working with the general public. Aptitudes and skills required
Literacy and numeracy skills. Ability to communicate with a wide range of people. Ability to work as a team member. Ability to work under own initiative and prioritize workload. Ability to adjust to pressures of job. Good interpersonal skills. Willingness to undertake further training. Patience, dependability and motivation shown. Be able to take instruction/directions. Aware of personal limitations. Values and behaviours
Working Together Always Improving Disclosure and Barring Service Check
