We are looking for a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Assistant to join us in Children's Outpatients. You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and a team player. The Children's outpatient department provides regional and local specialist tertiary clinics for children and young people up to the age of 18. As one of the largest acute teaching Trusts in England, we offer learning and development opportunities to help you achieve the career you aspire to. Qualifications / training required

NVQ 3 in Health or Childcare or equivalent. Numeracy skills and Literacy skills at level 1 or 2 (or equivalent). Experienced and competent in additional clinical skills, as per job description. Previous or relevant experience necessary

Proven experience in a caring role. Understanding of acute hospital environment and the role of SHCA. Previous HCA experience. Previous experience of working with the general public. Aptitudes and skills required

Literacy and numeracy skills. Ability to communicate with a wide range of people. Ability to work as a team member. Ability to work under own initiative and prioritize workload. Ability to adjust to pressures of job. Good interpersonal skills. Willingness to undertake further training. Patience, dependability and motivation shown. Be able to take instruction/directions. Aware of personal limitations. Values and behaviours

Working Together Always Improving Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. Salary: £24,071 to £25,674 a year (Per annum - Pro rata)
