Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity through its Indonesia entity, PT AHK Testing Indonesia, who is looking for a Chemist to join our team based in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. PT AHK Testing Indonesia provides independent analysis and inspection services to the metals, minerals and solid fuels industries. The Lab Analyst/Chemist is integral to the laboratory’s analytical operations, responsible for performing precise chemical analyses on samples such as nickel matte and raw materials using advanced analytical techniques. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results through the meticulous application of established methods and adherence to laboratory standards. The Lab Analyst/Chemist conducts detailed analytical tests using equipment such as XRF, ICP, AAS, and CS Analyzer, following rigorous procedures to prepare samples, perform analyses, and document findings. This position requires a deep understanding of chemical analysis techniques and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and precision in all laboratory activities. The Lab Analyst/Chemist also participates in the calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment, contributes to quality assurance processes, and supports the development and validation of new testing methods. Furthermore, this role involves adhering to safety protocols, ensuring environmental compliance, and continuously seeking professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE In-depth understanding of analytical techniques and laboratory equipment maintenance. Knowledgeable in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. Such as ISO 17025, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001. Troubleshooting knowledge and general problem solving. Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, and other stakeholders. Required Work Experience Experience as a Laboratory Analyst/Chemist is desirable. Fresh graduates encouraged to apply. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field. BENEFITS
