JustOT are recruiting for an experienced HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to work with our well-respected client based in Merseyside.
We are looking for a Specialist Housing Occupational Therapist to:
Complete strength-based assessments for people with disabilities within the City Council's eligibility criteria, applying the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
Recommend and organise the supply of equipment and structural adaptations to meet the assessed need.
Demonstrate to people with disabilities and their carers the use of equipment and/or adaptations provided.
Liaise with other professionals, statutory, voluntary, community resources, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible services are provided for people and their carers within available resources.
Manage a diverse workload within Adult Social Care priorities and City Council policies.
Have knowledge of and comply with the statutory obligation of the City Council and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the legal framework, including Care Act 2014 guidelines and responsibilities relevant to the specialism of the post.
Maintain accurate electronic social care records, manage a diverse caseload, and action outcome of assessments within agreed service standards.
Utilise appropriate training and development opportunities, participating in your own professional development in line with criteria set out by the Allied Health Professionals Council.
Be responsible for the development of Occupational Therapy Assistants and students on placements with the service.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are delivered with an emphasis on supporting collaborative working.
Use technology as supplied by the City Council.
Ensure assessments are strength-based and outcome-driven.
Establish partnerships with people with disabilities and carers (including young carers), actively using consultation and participation.
Be responsible for the enhanced development of Occupational Therapy assessment functions.
The pay rate for this role is £37.52 per hour.
Hours & Days to be Worked: 35 hours per week
Working Location: Hybrid / community
Essential Requirements: HCPC registered, Social Services Experience, car driver
