Major adaptations
Using assistive technology
Training and development
If you join us in adult services, you will start your induction into Social Care via our Adult Social Care Academy. This bespoke training programme supports new recruits through their first year of employment and ensures their practice knowledge is up-to-date.
You will also receive regular supervision and support from a registered occupational therapist.
You'll get specific training on:
Strength based practice
Moving and handling
Training is paid for by us.
We promote opportunities for flexible working and our occupational therapists are based in the community, in offices, and also have the opportunity to work from home where applicable.
