Main duties of the job
To provide high quality clinical care to patients, in line with the Trust values and in accordance with professional regulations. Accept delegated responsibility for specific activities/areas from senior Nurse in Charge. Work autonomously and with others to always deliver high standards of care to patients and their carers. Communicate in line with Trust values, to patients, carers and staff at all times. Take every opportunity to continue to develop, practice and expand their own general and specialist nursing skills. Experience
Recent clinical experience in an Acute Trust. Delivery of evidence-based practice. Demonstrates patient-focused approach. Previous experience at Band 5 within specialty. Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development. Knowledge
NMC Code of Conduct. Understanding of current issues in nursing. Ability to develop working relationships with others. Time management and personal organisation skills. The ability to converse easily and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for all customer-facing roles. Most positions require a Disclosure and Barring check and will be exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Posts working regularly or unsupervised with children or vulnerable adults require an enhanced check. Applicants for eligible roles requiring Tier 2 sponsorship must meet UK Visas and Immigration eligibility criteria. We operate a no-smoking policy on all our sites and grounds. You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
