Are you an experienced medical secretary with the ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute? Are you highly organised with a passion for excellent patient care? Would you like to develop your skills in a modern and supportive Private Hospital? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you.

We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to join our team, working on behalf of some of the best consultants in the country. Reporting into our Medical Secretary Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day administrative and secretarial support of consultants, acting as a link between them, patients, and the hospital.

This is a 37.5 hour per week role working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Role Responsibilities

As a Medical Secretary you will:

Coordinate patient appointments for various clinics and surgeries, managing consultant diaries effectively.

Type and send all relevant correspondence to patients in a timely manner.

Be the main point of contact for patient queries and efficiently respond as necessary.

Scanning information for patient records to keep them up to date.

Correspond with Medical Insurers, collating accurate billing information and invoicing patients as necessary.

Who we are looking for

We would love to hear from you if you:

Have a minimum of 5 GCSE grade 4 or above, or equivalent, including maths and English Language.

Have previous experience working as a Medical Secretary.

Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Have previous audio typing experience.

Work with accuracy and attention to detail at all times.

Have completed a Medical Terminology course (AMSPAR) qualification.
