Responsibilities

Providing Patient Care : Delivering high-quality patient care is the primary responsibility of an agency nurse. This may involve administering medications, monitoring vital signs, dressing wounds, and other nursing procedures.

Assessing Patients : Conducting thorough patient assessments to identify their healthcare needs, create care plans, and communicate with other healthcare professionals about the patient’s condition.

Collaborating with Healthcare Team : Working closely with physicians, other nurses, allied health professionals, and support staff to coordinate patient care and achieve the best outcomes.

Documentation : Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, progress notes, and treatment plans.

Educating Patients and Families : Offering patient and family education on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care practices.

Adapting to Different Environments : Quickly adapting to different healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community care facilities.

Reporting Incidents : Reporting any incidents, accidents, or changes in patients’ conditions to the appropriate authorities or supervisors.
