Independently manage family law cases, ensuring timely document preparation and adherence to deadlines. Advocacy:
Effectively present evidence and arguments, advocating for clients' rights and interests. Client Liaison:
Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout their legal matters. Documentation:
Draft correspondence and maintain organized, paperless records. Trial Preparation:
Assist in trial prep and organization, with prior trial experience being beneficial. Virtual and In-Person Meetings:
Meet with clients to prepare, review, and sign documents. Operational Support:
Help manage daily operations and file management tasks for lawyers. JOB REQUIREMENTS Post-secondary Law Clerk education or equivalent experience. Minimum of 2 years as a clerk, with family law experience. Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, and Legal Practice Management Software (Clio preferred). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage priorities and deadlines. Punctual, reliable, and able to work both independently and in a team. High level of confidentiality and good judgment. Positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies. Ability to work in a hybrid schedule.
