Salary: Grade 6 - Starts at £32,247 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £35,526 per annum Please note that the above salary is based on working 37 hours per week. If this role is part-time or you are appointed on a part-time basis your salary will be prorated to reflect this. Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon and Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same grade.

About the role: The role of the RMU Officer is to act as a conduit for the quality of work coming into and going out of the RMU to ensure a variety of business areas resourcing demands are being delivered correctly and efficiently. The officer will receive, assess, triage, and disseminate work to the RMU planners, whilst also picking up more complex enquiries themselves. The RMU officer will brief on the Force resourcing picture at Force Daily Tasking, and to Commanders via impact assessments. They are also required to manage any resulting activities. This is achieved via: Managing the day to day working activities within the RMU. Attending Force Daily tasking to provide oversight of resources and availability of specialist assets and undertaking any follow up activity. Managing requests for resources for operations or events (planned and spontaneous). Quality assurance of work completed. Deputising for and supporting the Resource Manager (Police Sergeant). Undertaking complex, sensitive or business critical activities received into the RMU. Want to know more about this role?
