Duty and Assessment Team Manager Team: Neighbourhood Team Location: Tameside Rate: £40 Children’s Services in Tameside are on an improvement journey and we are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Team Manager to join us in one of our Duty and Assessment Neighbourhood teams. For this role, you will have considerable experience of working with children and their families in a statutory social care environment, specifically managing and supporting social workers and ASYEs, and a wealth of experience supervising complex caseloads on a busy team. As Team Manager, you will be responsible for a team providing assessment, planning, and intervention services to children in need of a statutory assessment. With fantastic leadership skills and attributes, you will ensure your team members are well supported and equipped to succeed. We expect you to have extensive front-line experience as well as a solid track record of managing and developing a team. Building positive relationships is important not just with the children, young people, and families we work with, but also with colleagues and external partner agencies. You will offer a high level of support and challenge to your social workers and inspire your teams to do their very best for Tameside children. We firmly believe that all children in Tameside deserve the best start in life, and we are looking for the right people to help make this happen. Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following minimum requirements: DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work Social Work England registration Enhanced and in-date DBS certificate. Excellent communication skills and the ability to make good decisions based on information available. Ability to work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set-ups Knowledge of service needs. Competent IT skills and ability to navigate electronic file/recording systems. Ability to write clear, concise, and robust assessments/reports/files. Flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises. Why Ashberry?
