In March 2025, a wonderful term time nanny role is becoming available in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. This friendly and professional family is looking for a kind, nurturing and fun nanny who can stay long term and become part of their happy family. You will be looking after one delightful baby girl, aged ten months. This will be a sole charge role. Mum is a barrister and Dad is a teacher. Dad works locally but his work days during term time are long (6am-6pm). Mum often works from home in a separate office, but she will regularly need to commute into London (and occasionally further afield) for her work, the timings of which will be unpredictable. The parents will take care of the little girl in the school holidays, when Dad will be off from work. The hours of the role will be term time (39 weeks), Monday-Friday, 07.00-18.00 (55 hours/week). There may also be some ad hoc days and babysitting, but any additional hours will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime. The parents are keen for their little girl to learn and develop in a balanced way, to help her to hit her various developmental milestones – with lots of stimulating and educational indoor fun (reading, singing, jigsaws, craft, imaginary games, etc) mixed with plenty of outside play and walks to the nearby park – whatever the weather! The parents would like her to attend play dates with friends and educational and fun groups and activities (music group, library, farm, soft play, etc) to allow her to mix with other children, ensuring that she is always happy and safe. You should have a real love and understanding of child development. As they have a cleaner, this role will be nursery duties only, but some help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated – emptying the dishwasher, running the hoover round, making sure all rooms are tidy at the end of the day, etc. As well as general care of the baby and keeping all areas used clean and tidy (kitchen, her bedroom and playroom, etc), the nursery duties are to include keeping on top of her laundry. While she is a baby, you will wash and prepare feeding bottles. As she grows, you will provide healthy and nutritional meals, homecooked as often as possible. As her needs change, these meals are to be blended if required, with plenty made in advance and frozen for the parents to use with her at the weekends. Knowledge of weaning and potty training is essential. You will need to be a careful and confident driver with your own fully insured car and a clean licence. Duty mileage will be paid. This is a fabulous role and would suit someone who is happy to make a long-term commitment. If this sounds like something you would enjoy, please apply below. Location of the job:
