Family Support Worker with an interest in working with pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviours. Our Family Support Worker will have experience of being part of a team that works with children and young people and their families, ideally children with additional needs. Administration and office experience would also be valuable, together with outstanding interpersonal skills and a positive, solution focused attitude. An empathetic but proactive approach is essential, and you must be ready to take the lead and use your initiative. As the role may require some travel across the city, a full UK driving licence will be beneficial.

The successful candidate will support students and families with complex needs where a range of factors are contributing to poor attendance at school and indicating that students are at risk of poor outcomes. You will be responsible for promoting positive partnerships between home, school and our wider community.

What we need from you:

Whether you have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or are passionate about improving the outcomes of young people, this role could be for you. As an individual you will be outgoing and confident in your abilities to support and encourage young people to succeed.
