This position is for Fox C-6 School District students only who are enrolled in a student work study program. POSITION TITLE : Student Worker – Central Office FLSA STATUS : Hourly, Non-Exempt REPORTS TO : Central Office Administrator POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is for Fox C-6 School District students only who are enrolled in a student work study program. Student workers will assist with various tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the District Administrative Offices. Hours may vary between late morning until 4:30 pm, 10-20 hours per week, depending upon the student's course schedule and needs of the District. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Greet students, parents, and campus community in person and by phone. Answer front office phone and direct inquiries to the appropriate individual if available and/or take clear written messages. Ensure front office space is covered when staff leave their work space for any length of time. Sort and distribute internal mail and packages for various departments. Assist department staff with making copies, filing, faxing, and scanning. Learn and use computer programs to assist with data entry (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Drive, etc.). Maintain and/or create spreadsheets, reports, and logs as needed. Keep bulletin boards organized and up to date. Assist with special projects, research, and events. Comply with all district policies, regulations, and procedures. Perform other tasks as assigned. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone. Ability to maintain excellent organizational skills and detailed organization. Ability to work independently and/or as a team member. Accomplish tasks that are often interrupted by persons with special and/or immediate needs. Exhibits excellent professional demeanor, self-motivation, and flexibility. Dependable, punctual, and have good customer service skills. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: At least 16 years of age. Student of the Fox C-6 School District. Enrolled in a student work study program. Skilled at basic computer- and other office-related tasks. Experience with Microsoft Suites and Google Suites programs preferred. Reliable transportation to and from work. Professional demeanor and communication. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone/email and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects. Some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, and repetitive motions. Requires ability to sit and stand for long periods to complete work. Requires ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and ability to work in noisy, stressful, and crowded environments.
