South West England About the Role: Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Disabled Children and Young People's Service, providing essential support to children and young people aged 0-19 with complex needs. This role involves working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to ensure statutory duties are fulfilled and positive outcomes are achieved. What You'll Do: Manage a complex caseload, including care proceedings, child protection plans, and children in need (CIN). Mentor and guide less experienced social workers, fostering reflective practice and supporting high standards in assessments, court proceedings, and care planning. Conduct direct work with children and families, ensuring sustained positive outcomes through tailored interventions. Model excellence in case recording, report writing, and inter-agency collaboration. Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, family group conferences, and service development discussions. MA/MSc/BA/BSc in Social Work (or equivalent HCPC-approved qualification), SWE registration, and a commitment to professional development. Experience:

Substantial post-qualification experience in statutory children's services, particularly supporting children with disabilities and families with complex needs. Skills:

Strong expertise in assessment, risk management, legal frameworks, and direct work with children and families. Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities. Attributes:

Emotionally resilient, non-judgemental, and a role model for professional behaviour. Special Conditions: Valid driving licence and access to a car required. Flexibility to work outside normal office hours when necessary. Enhanced DBS check required.
