Our client is a multinational utilities company operating several power stations across the UK. They are looking for a Materials Controller. The role is based at their site in Didcot, Oxfordshire, but the successful candidate will be required to provide support at other sites in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.

We’re looking for someone with stores or material control experience, who has a background in power, automotive parts, armed forces, or similar, and who was required to maintain stock control and condition, and to replenish stocks.

The role includes:

Controlling the receiving and issuing of goods Conducting physical stock checks Ensuring security of all stores and monitoring of access Daily processing of Manual Purchase Requisitions (MRP), creation of MRPs and managing call off orders Coordinating the external refurbishment of spares Coding of spares Maintaining data quality and updating records Identifying and resolving duplication of stock Shelf-life management Managing the appropriate storage of hazardous materials Application of stock management skills, FIFO, temperature and humidity control, etc.

Competence in the use of SAP R/3 and/or S/4 - Materials Management is desirable.
