NHSBT core IT systems are very extensive. This is a great opportunity to build knowledge of what it takes to control IT system changes, in a complex environment, in a manner that keeps patients and donors safe and meets the requirements of the various regulations applicable across the organisation. In this role you will be part of a team of Assistant Quality Managers, working with other teams to ensure safe, efficient, and effective delivery of NHSBT IT systems software and hardware through testing and participation in software development, as required to support implementation of national IT systems throughout NHSBT. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting a range of users at locations across the country to understand their needs, oversee software testing (including at supplier locations). Implementing systems that ensure we maintain our services to hospitals and make donation a great experience. This includes listening, watching, sensitively challenging and growing an understanding of the systems interfaces/integration and ensuring changes are safe and compliant. Supporting lean methodology, used across NHSBT; in our bid to strive for continuous improvement and to support governance. You will support methods to keep pace with changing IT methodology, technology and performance expectations. Providing specialist knowledge of the governance and regulation of NHSBT IT Systems and active support for the development of IT systems. Providing communication and understanding of IT Systems software changes at a local level. Promoting best practice in software testing. About us

Qualifications

Degree in Nursing or Biomedical Science or equivalent experience. Demonstrate commitment to own Continued Professional Development (CPD). Experience

Detailed knowledge of NHSBT core (Pulse/Hematos) software systems. Knowledge of relevant legislation and its application in the NHSBT environment, e.g. GMP. Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), or equivalent Systems. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
