Main Duties and Responsibilities: Procuring direct commodity materials for our plants located across the USA. Negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, confidentiality agreements, engineering requirements, and other items as required with suppliers. Supporting the launch of new programs (i.e. for our Fuel Cell and Battery Technology activities) and business quotes with purchased material costs. Identifying suppliers for new business and reviewing their capabilities per engineering requirements. Responsible execution of the complete purchasing process for local sourcing projects from our plants' demands to RFQs and to the supplier nomination proposals. Providing sourcing recommendations which align with strategic goals. Evaluating supplier performance. Supporting the internal teams for cost reduction. Being an active part of development, implementation, and execution of global sourcing strategies in cross-functional teams. Minimum Qualifications: Completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in the field of Economics, Industrial Engineering, or in a comparable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 3 years of experience in a similar function or in supply chain management in the Automotive Industry. Good knowledge of purchasing processes, contract management, and strategic purchasing. Ability to interpret and communicate technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with a range of manufacturing processes, such as metal forming and plastic injection molding. Proven ability to negotiate with suppliers. Experience in working with SAP and MS Office. Spanish language skills are a plus. Job Type:
