Your new company An exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, vibrant business at their Co Durham-based Head Office. Your new role A crucial addition to the current structure, you will both support the FC and also mentor and guide the current finance team. With specific responsibility for accounting for the key and often complex Contracts, you will prepare P&L and BS for each of the contracts and also conduct budget variance analysis for each. What you'll need to succeed Ideally, you will be a newly qualified accountant who is looking for that "next step" and the opportunity to really "take ownership" of a role. It's a given that you are comfortable preparing the management accounts, and ideally a "whizz" on Excel. Whilst not essential, knowledge of Sage 200 would be beneficial to your application. You will have key responsibility of managing the P&L and Balance Sheet for all the managed Contracts. You are someone who is happy to liaise with non-finance Senior Managers regarding budget trends and variances to aid in their ability to make crucial operational decisions.
