About the Company: My client is a leading supplier and installer of specialist highway and security vehicle restraint systems. As part of their expansion, they are seeking a talented and results-driven Business Development Manager to join the team. This role will focus on developing and growing revenue through product and service offerings within the highways and security sectors.
Position Overview: This role involves promoting specialist, rigorously tested highway and security products to a range of well-established and newly identified clients, aiding the strategic growth of the business. The successful candidate will work face-to-face with existing and new customers across the South of England.
Position Details: - Permanent, full-time, hybrid role - South of England and Wales - £40k - £48k base salary, pension contribution, car/car allowance, and a competitive bonus structure
Key Role Responsibilities:
Generate new business sales aligned with company growth targets. Develop new commercial relationships with key decision makers and procurement teams. Conduct presentations showcasing product features and benefits. Prepare sales quotations and commercial offers within the product portfolio. Collate and support revenue forecasts on a monthly basis. Provide technical solutions through collaboration with the Applications Team. Maintain accurate records of leads and new opportunities in the CRM system. Collaborate with Marketing to provide technical input for literature and targeted campaigns. Attend customer meetings, trade shows, and exhibitions as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications: - Proven product sales experience with a consultative, technical sales approach. - Background in construction or civil engineering. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
Preferred Qualifications: - Highways industry experience. - HNC/HND in engineering or equivalent experience in engineering sales. - 1+ years in a Business Development Manager role (construction/highways).
