This is an exciting opportunity for a permanent B3 Health Care Support Worker to join the award-winning Health Liaison team and work with adults with Learning Disabilities to support their access to primary and secondary care. The successful candidate will have experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities, be a team player, and be motivated and committed to the improvement of the service and working alongside other multi-disciplinary team members. Main duties of the job

To provide day-to-day care for service users under the supervision of a Clinician which adheres to best practice, standards, and guidelines, and contributes towards the service users' care and treatment. Work in partnership with service users, other health and social care colleagues, and services to achieve the optimum health outcome for clients. To be part of the MDT in providing a high and consistent level of holistic care, maintaining the dignity and equality of the individual. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. About us

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

To be willing to undertake NVQ level 3 and to complete within 2 years. Knowledge of the needs of individuals with Learning Disabilities. Experience

Experience of working with people with a Learning Disability. Experience of acute inpatient settings. Values

Able to communicate with people at all levels. Able to work in a team and demanding/pressurized environment. Flexible approach to the needs of the service. Other

Able to satisfy mandatory security clearance. Special requirements to perform in the role e.g., Ability to travel within geographical area. Able to work hours flexibly. Anything else not covered above. Aptitude and Abilities

Standards of health with a reasonable adjustment that enables the individual to undertake the requirements of the post. Ability to travel to and from work and also to travel to necessary training. Ability to speak Welsh. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
