Responsibilities as a Health and Social Care Teacher:

Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Health and Social Care across KS4 and KS5. Create lesson plans that bring real-world scenarios into the classroom, inspiring students to pursue careers in healthcare and social work. Incorporate theoretical and practical elements of Health and Social Care to support learning. Assess student progress and provide feedback to help them reach their potential. Foster an environment of respect, inclusion, and curiosity in your classroom. Prepare students for examinations and coursework in line with the curriculum. Collaborate with colleagues to promote the importance of Health and Social Care within the school.

The Ideal Health and Social Care Teacher Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have relevant teaching experience in Health and Social Care. Have strong subject knowledge in Health and Social Care, including experience with KS4 and KS5 curricula. Be committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to excel. Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills. Have a passion for working with young people and a commitment to their success. Hold a valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or be willing to apply for one.
