If you have the qualities described above then we want you to think about coming to be a part of our team. At NSFT, we have exciting opportunities for Band 5 Nurses to join our Yare Ward team. Yare Ward is a 15 bed male-only ward at Hellesdon Hospital. It provides a service that promotes rehabilitation, recovery and quality of life using recovery-based principles and processes for patients who are detained under a variety of sections under the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007). We have a skilled team of professionals that includes: nurses, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, activity co-coordinators, physiotherapists, and psychologists, supported by administration staff. Main duties of the job

We want to recruit Nurses who have experience in or an interest to develop new skills to support patients with a functional diagnosis and complex mental health and physical health needs in an older persons service. We are seeking a variety of skills and knowledge to join our teams, to enrich our workforce and provide the best care experience for our patients. This is a very rewarding care environment and staff report to regularly feeling that they have made a positive difference to our patients, their families, and carers. If you would like to understand the complexities of functional related illness within older persons and the physical health needs of patients, we will ensure that you receive the training and time to update yourself with this necessary knowledge base that is unique to this field of nursing. Qualifications

NMC Registered with Nursing Degree or Equivalent Experience

Previous experience working in mental health services Previous experience working in care sector Skills

Good observation and reporting skills Ability to motivate others Ability to supervise others Knowledge

Understanding of issues surrounding confidentiality Awareness of security and its impact and willingness to expand knowledge on it. Working knowledge/application of the Mental Health Act 1983 Other

Flexibility of duty and hours over a 24hr 7 day a week period Ability to travel independently Able to work as part of a close team Disclosure and Barring Service Check
