A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer-focused Qualified Dispensing Optician on a full-time, permanent basis in a very busy practice in Swansea. I am recruiting currently for a franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands.
This practice is situated on a busy high street and has a large and loyal customer base. They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of customer care.
You will be working in a large and busy store with 10 test rooms and 50+ members of staff. You will be surrounded by a very supportive and close-knit team, who all work together to support each other, are willing to help and aid you in the right direction, as they are big on team building and work to provide an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician Your role will be to work as one of the lead dispensers within the practice. You will handle the majority of children’s and complex dispensing and you will use your expertise and clinical experience to troubleshoot and deal with any issues as they arise. As a senior member of the team, you will help junior members of the team and help them to stay up to date with the latest optical developments.
Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician To apply for this position you need to be a fully qualified Dispensing Optician who is registered with the GOC. You will be an outgoing and approachable person with excellent communication skills and the ability to think on your feet, solve problems, and offer solutions for your customers. There is responsibility that comes with this role and a requirement for any applicants to have experience of working in a busy, high-volume medium to large practice.
Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician For your efforts, a salary of up to £25,000 as well as a bonus scheme, along with company benefits, 5 weeks holiday, and ongoing training and development.
