Cedar Ward - Chippenham Community Hospital ** Unfortunately we are unable to offer overseas sponsorship at this time** The Health Care Support Worker is an essential member of the multi-disciplinary team providing high standards of care for patients as well as support and comfort to family members, friends, and carers. You will be expected to provide a high level of Essential Care to meet the needs of patients in the Ward. This will include helping to maintain personal hygiene, continence, mobility, nutrition, and hydration. As well as supporting recovery, you will promote rehabilitation, encouraging patients to regain and maintain as much independence as possible. In addition to Essential Care and Support, there will be the opportunity to develop additional skills, including the monitoring and recording of Patient Observations, ECGs, and Phlebotomy. We will support successful candidates to complete the Care Certificate whilst working with us, to embed their practice and learning and support ongoing development. The teams on the wards include Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Healthcare Support Workers, Therapy Assistants, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and Consultant Nurses. Main duties of the job

Working unsocial hours pays an additional 85% on Bank Holidays and Sundays and an additional 43% at other times.
